Susan Peters

Chief Administrative Officer

Susan has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry.  She began her career in law and practiced at Ogilvy Renault in Montreal and in the Boston, New York and Tokyo offices of Skadden Arps.  She served as in-house counsel to the Securities Finance Division of State Street Corporation. She migrated to the business side and managed product development and ultimately the Securities Finance trading desk at State Street.   She launched the New York securities lending function for the US branch of Credit Suisse and went on to help found eSecLending, an innovator that brought disruptive and profitable models to the securities finance industry.  She served as CEO of eSecLending and co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Securities Finance Trust Company.  Most recently, she served as the CEO of a New York based financial services technology consulting company (Doran Jones) and managed Global Sales and Marketing for London based SCORPEO, LLC.  She is the owner of Silver Maple Consulting, through which she has provided consulting services on securities finance to major mutual funds and hedge funds.  She holds a Bachelor of Science from Carnegie Mellon and an LL.B and B.C.L. (law) from McGill University.  For two years running, she was named to the “Top On-Line Finance 40″ CEOs by Institutional Investor Magazine.  She has served on the boards of several non-profit organizations, including the Securities Finance Committee of the Risk Management Association, the French Library/Alliance Franҫaise in Boston, the Parents’ Fundraising Committee of Phillips Exeter Academy and the Board of Trustees of The Sharon Academy.   Susan holds the FINRA Series 24, 63 and 82 licenses.
